Fallbrook Heating & Air Conditioning Inc ("we", "us") is a family-owned heating and air conditioning contractor in Fallbrook, California. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit fallbrookheating.com or book a visit with us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. We've tried to keep it plain and short.
What information do we collect?
We collect the details you type into our booking and contact forms, such as your name, phone, email, ZIP code and service address, plus what's wrong with your system. We also collect technical information automatically when you browse, through cookies and similar tools, so we can see how the site is used and which ads bring people to us.
Information you give us
- Your name, phone number and email address
- Your ZIP code and service address
- Details about your service request: what's happening, your equipment, your preferred appointment times, and any notes you add
- Whether you agree to receive text messages from us
- Anything else you tell us when you call, email or text
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser details, your IP address and approximate location (city level)
- Pages you visit, links you click, and how you arrived at our site
- Campaign details from the link you clicked, such as UTM tags and ad-click IDs (for example, Google's gclid or Meta's fbclid)
What cookies and tracking tools do we use?
We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking, and Meta Pixel if it's enabled. We also store a small amount of information in your browser: campaign and ad-click details for 90 days, and your booking progress for 7 days, so you don't lose your place.
- Google Tag Manager loads our other measurement tools. It doesn't collect personal information by itself.
- Google Analytics 4 shows us how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and where people leave. You can opt out with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
- Vercel Web Analytics counts page views so we can see which pages are useful. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you.
- Google Ads conversion tracking tells us when someone who clicked one of our ads calls us or books a visit. This includes enhanced conversions: when you submit a form, your email address or phone number is hashed (scrambled into a code) in your browser before it is sent to Google, and Google uses it to match the conversion to an ad click. You can manage Google ad personalization at My Ad Center.
- Meta Pixel, if enabled, does the same for ads on Facebook and Instagram. You can manage it in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
- Browser storage (cookies and localStorage). We remember the campaign tags and ad-click IDs from the link that brought you here for 90 days, so we can credit the right ad if you book later. If you start booking and leave, we keep your booking progress in your browser for 7 days, so you can pick up where you left off. This booking information stays on your device until you submit the form.
- Spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile). To keep automated spam out of our booking and callback forms, we may use Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check that usually runs invisibly. It collects technical signals from your browser and device, such as your IP address, only to detect and block bots, not to identify, profile or target you. See Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy addendum. Our forms also note how long they took to fill in, which helps spot bots.
You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. The site will still work, though you may need to re-enter booking details.
How do we use your information?
We use your information to schedule and carry out the work you ask for, to contact you about your appointment, estimate or service history, and to understand which pages and ads are working so we can spend our advertising money sensibly. We don't use it for anything unrelated to running our business.
- Scheduling, confirming and reminding you about appointments
- Calling, emailing or texting you about your request, estimate or service
- Keeping service records for your equipment history and billing
- Measuring how the site and our ads perform, and improving them
- Preventing spam and fraud on our forms
- Meeting legal, tax and licensing obligations
Who do we share it with?
We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, such as our scheduling and customer software, website hosting and analytics tools, and only so they can do that work for us. We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share your mobile number with third parties for their own marketing.
- Scheduling and customer-management software, such as Housecall Pro, which stores your appointment, contact and job details and may send appointment texts and emails for us
- Website hosting and form-processing providers
- Mailchimp (Intuit), which sends our reminder and offer emails and offer texts, only if you sign up for them
- Analytics and advertising platforms: Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, Ads) and Meta, if enabled, as described above
- Professional advisers such as our accountant or lawyer, when needed
- Government or law enforcement, when required by law, or to pull permits for your job (for example, your address on a permit application)
Do we sell or share your personal information?
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, California law treats some advertising cookies and pixels, like Google Ads and Meta Pixel, as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out of that sharing at any time, as described below.
To opt out, use our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page, or email or call us using the details at the end of this policy. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: if your browser sends it, this site treats you as opted out automatically. We don't knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
What are your California privacy rights?
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and to be treated equally when you use these rights.
- Right to know. Ask what personal information we've collected about you, where it came from, why we use it and who we share it with, and ask for a copy.
- Right to delete. Ask us to delete personal information we hold, subject to records we must keep by law, such as permits, invoices and tax records.
- Right to correct. Ask us to fix information that's wrong.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. Tell us not to share your information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Right to limit use of sensitive information. We don't collect sensitive personal information, such as Social Security numbers, for purposes this right covers.
- Right to non-discrimination. We won't charge you more or treat you differently for using any of these rights.
How to make a request
Email info [at] fallbrookheating.com or call (760) 728-8716. Tell us which right you want to use and how to reach you. We'll confirm your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. To protect you, we'll verify your identity by matching details you give us, such as your phone number and service address, against our records. You can also ask an authorized agent to make a request for you, with your signed permission.
Text message (SMS) terms
If you agree to texts on our booking form, we'll send messages about your appointment, such as confirmations, reminders, technician arrival updates and follow-ups. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.
- Agreeing to texts is not a condition of buying any service.
- Reply STOP to stop all texts. We'll send one message confirming you've opted out.
- Reply HELP, or call (760) 728-8716, for help.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- We don't sell or share your mobile number or text-message consent with third parties for their marketing.
If you also sign up for offer texts, you'll get seasonal deals and tune-up reminders, up to 4 a month. That's a separate choice. See our text message terms, including the new customer offer.
Our reminders and offers list
If you sign up at the bottom of any page, or tick "Email me tune-up reminders and seasonal offers" or the offer-texts box on a form, we add your email address or mobile number to our list in Mailchimp. We use it only to send tune-up reminders and our seasonal offers, about once a month.
- Signing up is never required to book or get a price.
- You may get one email or text from us to confirm first.
- Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to any offer text.
- We don't sell your email address or mobile number or share them with others for their own marketing.
How long do we keep your information?
We keep customer and service records for as long as you're a customer and for as long as we need them for equipment history, permit, tax and legal reasons. If you contact us but don't book, we keep your inquiry for a shorter period. Browser data expires on the timelines described above.
We protect your information with reasonable safeguards, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send payment card details through our website forms or by email.
Children's privacy
Our website is meant for adults arranging service for their homes or businesses. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Links to other websites
Our site links to other websites, such as Google Maps, the Contractors State License Board and SDG&E. Their privacy practices are their own, so please read their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website or the law changes. We'll change the "Last updated" date at the top, and if we make a significant change we'll note it on this page.
